Spellwreck Privacy Policy
In short: Spellwreck has no accounts and we never see your personal details. Your progress is saved only on your phone. The game shows optional adverts from Google AdMob, and Google may use your device's advertising ID to show and measure those adverts. In the UK and EU you are asked for your consent first, and you can change your answer at any time.
Who we are
Spellwreck ("the game") is made by 3Cliffs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and who it is shared with. If you have any questions, contact us at support@3cliffs.com.
Information we do not collect
The game does not ask you to sign up or log in. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, location or any other personal information, and we do not run our own analytics or tracking. We have no servers that receive data from the game.
Information stored on your device
Your progress (coins, unlocked cosmetics, relics, settings and which tips you have seen) is saved locally on your phone so you can continue where you left off. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Uninstalling the game or clearing its storage deletes it.
Adverts (Google AdMob)
You can choose to watch an advert in exchange for in-game coins. Adverts are always optional. They are provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To show adverts, measure them, and prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
- your device's advertising ID (or, where that is unavailable, other device identifiers)
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it
- device and app information, such as the phone model, operating system, language and app version
- how you interact with the adverts, such as views and taps
Google may use this information to show adverts that are personalised to your interests, if you have allowed it, or non-personalised adverts otherwise. Google handles this information under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Your consent and choices
- UK and EU players: the first time you open the game, Google's consent form asks whether you agree to personalised adverts. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy button on the game's title screen.
- Everyone: you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised adverts, in your phone's settings (on most Android phones: Settings ▸ Privacy ▸ Ads, or Settings ▸ Google ▸ Ads).
- You can simply not watch adverts. The rest of the game works without them.
Google Play
Google Play, through which the game is distributed, may collect information such as crash reports and install statistics under Google's own privacy policy. We may see anonymous, aggregated reports from this (for example, how many people installed the game or how often it crashed), which do not identify you.
Data security and retention
Information sent to Google for adverts is encrypted in transit. We do not store any of your data ourselves, so there is nothing for us to keep, delete or hand over. To delete what is stored on your phone, uninstall the game or clear its data in your phone's app settings.
Children
Spellwreck is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, please contact us and we will help.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or California law), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, and to object to its use. Because we hold no personal information about you, requests about advertising data are best made directly to Google using the links above, but we are happy to help if you contact us.
Changes to this policy
If the game starts using information differently, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
